About the Application:
The OTM (Operations Task Manager) application is a flagship Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) application providing exception and query management functionality. The application is utilized by 5,000+ users to manage tasks received from multiple sources. The application was developed in-house and is being rolled out across Markets and Investor Services. The rollout of the application has reached a watershed moment whereby uptake is ramping up and new systems/users are being on boarded. The application is also available via J.P. Morgan Markets (JPMM), the banks single dealer platform to external Custody Clients replacing legacy query management infrastructure.
About Role:
The Client Query Business Analyst will join an entrepreneurial and collegial team within JP Morgan's Corporate Investment Bank's (CIB). In combination with one of the most high profile investments within the bank, J.P. Morgan Markets (JPMM), OTM is the firm's strategic task and query management infrastructure providing internal teams and external Clients the ability to seamlessly route system generated tasks and manually generated queries globally. In the first half of 2016 the focus is on completing the Custody Client adoption of the Query Management (QM) Dashboard where Clients raise queries directly to Custody JPM Operations teams. This will allow the team to decommission the legacy Custody query management platform Service Desktop and the legacy external Query Management tool, Online Inquiry Manager within JPMA. In addition, the QM Dashboard will be extended to (i) Cleared Derivatives Clients within the ACCE organization to raise Trade Economic breaks directly to JPM Cleared Derivatives Operations and (ii) Markets for in-context queries from the Markets Trade Lifecycle Application. The second half of 20016 involves implementing OTM 2.0 the next generation of Query and Task Management including the integration of a fully digitized e mail channel.
Responsibilities:
The right candidate will collaborate with the business, operations, technology and OTM Product team to shape, create, visualize and deliver Client Query across Markets and investor Services. In addition, analysis is required to ensure our OTM 2.0 Product provides maximum efficiency, productivity and extremely high levels of adoption across Markets and Investor Services.
· Ambition and vision to help shape the QM Dashboard/Product in 2016
· Manage the roll-out of the QM dashboard to ACCE and Markets in partnership with the broader Client Query effort
· Help with analysis of OTM 2.0 query and task management strategy and capability to deliver a scalable future proof solution
· Understand in detail the productivity and efficiency requirements of the QM Dashboard and OTM 2.0 across the operations organization for 2016/17 and ensure these are central in the development of the QM Dashboard and OTM 2.0 product
· Partner with Line of Business Product organizations and their respective technology organizations to influence the Client adoption of the QM Dashboard and OTM as the single toolset for servicing Client raised queries as part of the future state operating model
· Work with all users and stakeholders across Markets and Investor Services to gather requirements, provide support, prioritize requests and generate new ideas for quality differentiating features of our QM Dashboard product
· Work across global legal and compliance organizations to ensure QM Dashboard is fully compliance with all regulatory banking secrecy and data privacy requirements
· Updating and informing all product groups and stakeholders on development plans and strategies
· Document functional specifications and partnering with the OTM product team and JPMM/OTM developers to manage the entire product development cycle ensuring releases meet business requirements
· Maintaining position as one of the Client Query experts on all facets of query and task management via JPMM
· Updating and informing all product groups and stakeholders on development plans and strategies and work through stakeholders to manage any challenges and constraints
· Analyze our capabilities and identify priority gaps and opportunities
· Drive actionable and implementable strategies that produce tangible key query and task management features
· Gain partner buy in by developing consensus around gaps, strategies and plans
Desired profile
Qualifications:
Candidates must have prior technical and change management experience with program management. Experience in structured problem solving with an excellent delivery track record required. Experience in the financial markets is desired. The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes:
