Job Description

· The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is a division within Corporate and manages the structural risk of JPM Chase across a wide range of asset classes. CIO is mainly located in the major hubs - New York, London and Hong Kong.
· Global Treasury is responsible for the Funding and Liquidity risk management of the organisation worldwide. The EMEA team is centrally managed from London, providing Funding for all UK and Continental Europe entities (Bank and Non Bank).
· Activity extends over 20 different legal entities and 50+ currencies and markets. The EMEA Treasury framework is rapidly evolving following ongoing market events and regulatory reform.
· The Treasury business has many day to day interactions with LOB's and other corporate groups to provide a clear and detailed understanding of Treasury requirements around liquidity and funding risk on any new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

· Part of a team supporting multi-asset class operational processes and controls through the transaction life cycle.
· Partnering with teams from Tertiary location resources.
· Preparing and analysing both weekly and ad hoc metrics for presentation to CIO management.
· Running regular “missed opportunities” gap analysis for utilisation of STP and centralised clearers
· Work closely with both Front and Back Office, engaging the back office partners in regular root cause exception analysis.
· Partner with CIO and firm wide stakeholders such as Market Risk, Finance and Technology.
· Support tech/business enhancements and being an agent of change.
· Coordinating technology related developments, ensuring appropriate prioritisation and end user testing.
· Building and maintaining strong business, operations and technology relationships.

Desired profile

Skill-set requirements

· Product knowledge preferred covering Money Market trades, Securities and FX / Interest Rate Products
· Attention to detail and numerate with a methodical approach to problem solving.
· Strong personality with good communication skills and the ability to argue a case effectively with the front office.
· Recognition of the business' and team's requirements and the willingness to step outside of a strict job description.
· Strong time management and multi-tasking skills as reasonable flexibility is required for the role.
· Proficiency in MS Excel / Access, preferably with some macro knowledge, an advantage.
· Understanding of the nature and importance of Regulatory Reporting

Skills / Education Required

· Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
· Business Analyst experience within Product Control, MO, Finance or Operations.
· Strong industry and operational knowledge.
· Relevant product knowledge, Derivative knowledge essential.
· Previous Trade Support experience

Skills / Education Desired

· Identifying and implementing process improvements.
· Central electronic clearing/execution platforms (LCH, Morcom, Trade Web, Markit etc.)
· Strong controls mindset with the curiosity to learn and challenge status quo.
