Job description

Risk Data Management SME Analyst will help improve data quality and consistency. Improved data quality will lead to improved BI, process controls, governance, reporting, models and metrics. Partnering with the DMC institutionalizes data quality management to improve data quality and instills accountability through processes, governance and metrics.

The Risk Data Management SME Analyst will be responsible for being a guardian and decision maker for critical data elements related to data quality, modeling and reporting. They will ensure consistency across applications, review, modify and develop controls to improve data quality. In addition, they will partner with the RISK Reporting Community, Modeling Community, IT and other key players to make sure all efforts support operational success.


Key Responsibilities
· Provide data/system expertise with rules and events associated with mortgages and the systems that support them
· Investigates and troubleshoots data to ensures data integrity in ICDW Teradata
· Perform impact analysis to assess impact of source changes in ICDW Teradata
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and excellent data analytic skills.
· Ability to allocate time efficiently; handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
· Ability to problem solve by analyzing and challenging conventional thought processes and using experience and/or intuition to create pragmatic solutions
· Participate in the collection, integration and analysis of data
· Advise management by assembling, interpreting and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations
· Document in a clear and concise manner all data sources developed for the Risk data analysis community
· Interface with IT, Risk, and other support staff
· Translates stakeholder requirements into tangible deliverables.
· Analyze database in response to new functionality and summarize findings and implement recommendations
· Partner with Risk Community to provide Subject Matter Expertise on RMI & 3 rd Party data
· Partner with the DMC/Data Stewards to ensure logic is correct, certified and approved for IT implementation

Desired profile

Qualifications
· Bachelors in Finance, Computer Science, MIS or real life experience equivalent.
· 2+ years ICDW experience (Preferred)
· 3+ Teradata experience (Preferred)
· 3+ years Mortgage Default Servicing experience (Preferred)
· 3+ years Data Warehousing experience (Preferred)
· 3+ years Data Analysis experience (Preferred)
· 3+ years SQL Experience
· 3+ years' experience working in SQL Server, Oracle or Teradata environments
· 3+ years Business Intelligence experience
· 3+ years TOAD, SAS or Teradata SQL Assist experience
· Must possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Self-starter, as well as the ability to work in a team environment as well as working independently
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process quickly and assess impact
· Minimum of 1-3 years of Process Analysis / Process Improvement, MIS, Risk
· Strong knowledge of banking / loan servicing systems (MSP,VLS)
· Able to work in a fast paced, high processing volume with quick turnaround resolutions
