About the role Performance Technology in JP Morgan Asset Management in London requires a Business Analyst to take a role in the development and rollout of a new Performance and Attribution platform. Working closely with Global Portfolio Analysis Group, a strong business analyst will drive forward the requirements and design of the new platform. The candidate should have experience of delivering large scale technology projects, and of performance measure and attribution.The role includes: working closely with performance and front-office teams; capturing detailed requirement, writing user stories; problem solving and issue resolution; working closely with PMs and developers in an Agile environment; writing behavioural tests; planning data migrations; agreeing and proving non-functional requirements; ensuring excellence across the team's deliverables; providing status updates to management. Department Description: The Asset Management Performance Technology team is a global team which builds and supports systems to calculate and report on investment fund performance. The department is embarking on a major multi $m change initiative to replace 3rd party and internal systems across different regions and business lines with one proprietary platform. Responsibilities ·Develop new, and maintain existing performance/reporting platforms through: ·Capturing business requirements and writing user stories. ·Contributing to specification and delivery of performance measurement models. ·Specifying and executing data migrations. ·Modelling and designing business processes. ·Defining and executing behavioural and functional tests. ·Contributing to planning and co-ordination of user testing. ·Writing system support documentation and wikis. ·Writing operation process documentation and wikis. ·Providing input to stand-ups, story sizing, sprint planning and retrospectives. ·Quality Assurance. ·Fostering relationship with Performance and front-office teams. ·Contribute to level 3 support.

Skills and experience required ·Highly skilled in capturing, translating and documenting business requirements. ·Excellent written and verbal communication is essential to work in this global team. Must be able to communicate with all levels of business users. ·Excellent knowledge of performance measurement and attribution (Time-weighted and money-weighted returns, contribution, attribution, ex-poste statistics, and composites). ·Good knowledge of asset management (investment accounting, indexes and benchmarks, fund structures etc) ·Knowledge of performance platforms (e.g. B-One, DST Anova, Statpro). ·Strong business process modelling. ·Competent data modelling and SQL querying. ·Skilled in writing test plans and detailed tests to prove complex functionality. ·Builds strong relationships. ·Effective at teaching developers business requirements. ·Proven track record of successful system delivery. ·Good problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to present clear and concise problem definition and solution statements. ·Be able to provide requested support/information quickly and accurately within a multi-tasking environment; show initiative – anticipates next steps and suggests meaningful alternatives where appropriate. Skills and experience desired ·Experience working with agile methods and practices (Scrum/XP preferred). ·Proficient using development team productivity tools (prefer Jira, Confluence, Git, Stash, SVN). ·Data modelling experience (Power Designer preferred). ·Knowledge of Behavior-Driven (BDD) approaches to software development (Cucumber or Fitnesse experience). ·Workflow and business process modelling tools (e.g. jBPM, Drools, Pentaho). ·Designing RESTful web services ·Messaging solutions (e.g. QPid, UM, Mule). ·Experience of R, or other similar statistical development packages. ·Hands-on development experience (Java environment preferred). ·Experience of working in a large global team.
