Job description

The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the Governance and Oversight team to deliver consistent and flawless remediation outcomes to meet the rapidly-evolving federal, state, and other rules that may apply to our highly regulated industry. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with LOB business remediation leads, business control officers, various functional stake holders such as legal, compliance, Information Technology, and other leaders across the organization. The successful candidate must have strong analytical and collaborative skills; strong process and/or control oriented expertise and function as a true “self-starter” and independent worker. This role will be specifically focused on partnering with the Governance and Oversight Team; the User Community to drive the timely and high quality centralized reporting to for the LOB's.

The Business Systems Analyst will:

·  Support and manage BI reporting and dashboards on the portal. Drive the set up and production of dashboards measuring KPIs across LOBs within the firm
·  Design and build production reporting to help validate the governance guidelines are being followed
·  Drive innovation with LOB stakeholders during development sessions to create and improve dashboards leveraging newly on-boarded data sources
·  Query data and create datasets to merge information from diverse data sources as required
·  Analyze data using tools such as Tableau to develop and automate reports or analysis that lead to actionable business insights
·  Resolve any data inconsistency errors or questions between the LOB and Governance team
·  Develop a vision of for improving daily processes and procedures
·  Work with other Analytics teams and multi-task on projects to summarize and synthesize data and present recommendations to the businesses in a clear and logical manner
·  Technical management of data files and file-systems. Access and move files between servers to support reporting and analytic tasks
·  Identify unexplored data opportunities for the business to unlock and maximize the potential of digital data within the organization
·  Drive automation of new and existing processes
·  Keep abreast of and provide recommendations for testing new and emerging technology

Desired profile

·  Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in data management and/or report development utilizing Excel, Access and preferably, Tableau
·  Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
·  Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
·  Self-starter who can provide thought leadership and drive results in a dynamic and fast evolving environment
·  Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence business partners
·  Project Management experience is a plus, but not required.
·  Bachelor's degree required
