JPMorgan Intelligent Solutions (JPMIS) is a new group considering ways to transform and leverage JPM proprietary data assets into opportunities for JPM. Protecting and managing intellectual property effectively as well as utilizing it to develop solutions that are both customized and scalable will enable JPM to create additional shareholder value.
The Business Analyst will support the Project Management lead across various functions and projects aimed at providing big data solutions to JPMIS business developers and JPMC's traditional line of businesses.
Responsibilities
· Facilitate requirements and design sessions with a business and IT
· Work with various teams to help provide the requirements for enabling big data solutions with their applications
· Research to determine if solutions to business needs currently exist within JPMIS, if not, whether new solutions are feasible
· Provide support to the Program Governance, Reporting and Communications efforts
· Provide input to the development of formal business cases and processes
· Provide estimates of work effort
· Contribute to QA-UAT test plans to ensure proper coverage
· Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge sharing
· Provides support in identifying opportunities and actions for continuous improvement by analyzing data on internal processes
· Learns JPMC Systems and Processes
· Participate in product and process risk reviews
Desired profile
· Bachelor's degree in related technical/business area or related work experience
· 2+ years of overall experience, preferably within financial services
· 1+ years of experience working within a business intelligence or data warehouse team
· 1+ years of experience working on projects leveraging Agile methodologies
· Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint required (e.g. basic macro knowledge ideal)
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem management skills
· Team player and adaptable to changing environment, with good interpersonal skills
· Proficient in handling multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously
· A self starter with demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and demanding environment
· Proven experience in conducting business requirement gathering sessions
· Experience in producing business and/or technical functional documentation
· Knowledge of software development life cycle principles and deliverables
· Proven ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
· Proven ability to manage deliverables and participation for multiple projects
