Job description

The UAT Analyst will work in collaboration with a team of developers and analysts currently developing the DataBook application, a Data Governance tool based on the Collibra platform. The UAT Analyst will report to the Data Governance Program Manager within the Firmwide Chief Data Office, which is responsible for the data management framework, standard definitions, data issue/quality management, as well as overall data governance, oversight (Data Domains) and operational support for DataBook (the corporate data management software tool).

The UAT Analyst must have the aptitude and capability to plan and systematically test application functionality, as part of the development /test cycle, and in preparation for the go-live phase of each lifecycle development. Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience of a test/development environment, or a technical support environment. The role will also require the candidate to provide user support and remediation of issues and provide additional training where required.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Define the policies and processes to be used during UAT phase of system change and ensure appropriate engagement and oversight of testing quality
· Create, implement, maintain, document and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of application for each systematic release
· Perform User Acceptance Testing of the Functional Requirements of DataBook and business processes;
· Review upcoming requirements for impact to testing
· Collaborate with developers and Technical team to improve overall product quality of the system by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process
· Identify and analyze defects/test results and be able to deduct the chain of events leading to a failure
· Report to the Data Governance Program manager, head of Data Governance and Project Manager areas for test improvements through analysis and the use of metrics
· In parallel with testing responsibilities, the candidate will be required to assist in the delivery of monthly/quarterly reporting on the testing results
· Provide day-day continuous support to stakeholders regarding all DataBook inquiries and provide additional guidance and support in the execution of the Firmwide Operating Model
· Ensure that all impacted documentation is current and inclusive of all changes implemented after all system releases
· Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventative measures for the DataBook application
· Collaborate in drafting quality assurance policies, standards and procedures for testing

Desired profile

· 3+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience
· Project Management and SCRUM experience a plus
· Experience collaborating on some level with programmers and business experts
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
· Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
· Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly
· Excellent problem solving skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solution
· Solid work ethic and strong sense of ownership of end result. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the testing field
