Business Function:

The Fixed Income Middle Office (FIMO) supports the Fixed Income & Currency group within Investment Management globally. The team consists of 25 Operations professionals working in 5 locations, our primary function is to ensure the accuracy of investment data used within the front-office suite of applications (decision support, compliance & execution tools) While this group resides within Operations it is tightly integrated with fixed income portfolio managers, traders and technologists. The group also oversees some risk management and business analysis functions and is highly involved with strategic projects.

Job Description:

This is an internship within the Fixed Income Middle Office New York team. This individual will assist with getting updates and tracking global programs, conducting ongoing data validation and performing daily operational functions, working closely with portfolio and client managers, technology, risk and other operational teams.

Desired profile

Required Skills:

·  Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, Math or Computer Science
·  Basic understanding of fixed income and derivative instruments
·  Understanding of investment accounting including corporate actions
·  Ability track issues and troubleshoot solutions
·  Excellent communication skills
·  Strong technical & analytical skills
