An exciting opportunity has arisen for a paralegal to join the Legal Department in Geneva at a Associate level.
Our Team
The Legal Department's mission is two-fold: (i) providing a legal & regulatory support to the Private Banking Business and (ii) acting as a control function. In Geneva, the Legal Department currently employs 8 professionals.
Responsibilities
· Provide legal support in relation to client complaints, and estate matters;
· Assist on (i) international criminal, administrative and/or civil assistance requests, (ii) requests from the Swiss criminal, administrative and/or civil authorities, and (iii) litigations;
· Work closely with the Business and control functions to coordinate effective, fluid and timely implementation of policy, process and procedural changes to ensure compliance therewith;
· Participate in projects, whether of a global or local nature, to provide legal input;
· Attend internal and external meetings and conferences.
Desired profile
Qualifications
The candidate must hold a law degree, preferably from a Swiss university.
Requirements
· Professional experience of at least 1-2 years is an asset;
· Strong organizational and analytical skills, and good drafting skills;
Essential skills
· Good academic credentials;
· Strong team work and organizational skills;
· Excellent oral and written communication skills;
· Efficient organizational and time management capabilities; strong multi-tasking skills; self-starter;
· Ability to handle multiple assignments and competing priorities;
· Ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines;
· Fluent in French and English, other languages being an asset.
