Investment Management Americas (“IMA”) is a division of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. IMA Funds Administration (“Funds Administration”) is responsible for business management and oversight for J.P. Morgan pooled vehicles including mutual funds, collective investment funds and hedge funds (collectively referred to as “Funds”). Funds Administration, which reports to the President of the JPMorgan Funds/Chief Administrative Officer, is comprised of the following functional areas: Funds Treasury, Governance and Board Management, Taxation, Product Implementation/Project Management and Vendor Management/Technology and Operations.

Job Description
The Fund Controller role is a position within Funds Treasury. The Controller will have responsibility for overall management and oversight of a group of Funds; this entails having a comprehensive understanding of the Funds and all aspects of their activities, from an investment, operational, regulatory, taxation and financial reporting perspective. The Fund Controller will have responsibility for executing management and oversight responsibilities for the Funds that take into consideration the market, regulatory and business environment that the Funds operate within. The Fund Controller will participate in and support new fund development and implementation efforts as well as other Fund related initiatives as they arise.

The role is highly visible within the organization and requires working cross functionally in areas including: Portfolio and Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Product Development, Sales/Distribution, Client Service and the various vendors that provide services to the pooled vehicles.

Specific areas of responsibility include:
· Fund Operations – execute risk focused oversight model that addresses all aspects of Fund Operations including: daily/monthly net asset values, distributions, expenses, implementation of accounting policies, issue identification, management and resolution;
· New products/change to existing products - evaluating all aspects of proposals (e.g., prospectus language, trading/operational model, distributions, expense structure, etc.) to identify solutions to launch/modify the product. Overall responsibility for implementing the appropriate risk-focused oversight controls;
· Financial reporting and disclosure controls – review and sign off of Funds' financial statements and regulatory filings; coordination of all audit efforts with service providers and external auditors; and, executing disclosure control procedures in support of Audit Committee clearance meetings, principal financial/executive officer certifications, etc.;
· Fund Regulatory filings, requests and inquiries – review and provide input to all Fund-related regulatory filings (e.g., N-1A), participate in efforts to respond to regulatory requests and inquiries related to the Funds;
· Fund related initiatives - leading/participating in various Fund related initiatives;
· Governance/Board Reporting – development of materials to summarize oversight results to Funds' governing bodies; and
· Management Reporting – development of materials to escalate key issues and status of initiatives.

Desired profile

·  3+ years experience in the investment management industry
·  Technical and business knowledge of various Fund structures (e.g., mutual collective investment and hedge funds) and activities from an investment, operational, regulatory, accounting and financial reporting perspective.
·  Knowledge and experience across various asset classes (e.g., fixed income, alternatives and equities) and complex instrument types (e.g., derivatives and structured products).
·  Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate issues, propose and implement solutions, with consideration for all downstream implications.
·  Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team.
·  Demonstrated thought leadership and the ability to influence and achieve results. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner in any format.
