Overall Purpose of the position
To create, maintain and manage client relationships in accordance with objectives agreed with the local Country Head and in line with the Funds Sales Strategy with the aim to maximise opportunities and further penetrate the target market and achieve business targets/Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's).
Department Description
You will be part of a small dynamic team reporting to the Country Head for Benelux & Geneva. You are joining a stable, dynamic team of enthusiastic people based in offices in Geneva, Luxembourg and Amsterdam. Sales for Belgium and Luxembourg is covered out of Luxembourg. Sales for The Netherlands is covered out of Amsterdam. You will be based in Amsterdam for this role.
Sales:
· To understand clearly the Asset Management Sales Strategy and ensure that his/her own sales approach and activity reflects this
· To achieve agreed sales objectives/targets, through the acquisition of new clients, effective pipeline management and client retention
· To undertake an active schedule of client visits in order to present the company's global expertise and maximise selling opportunities
· To ensure that all pooled business (and if agreed, institutional business) is handled correctly, in agreement with the local Head of Asset Management.
· To ensure all sales reporting requirements (e.g. detailed contact reports) are fully and promptly met and communicated to the Head of Asset Management, and that all client activity is recorded on C2C.
· To attend and actively participate in Continental Europe Retail Sales Conferences.
· To supervise the compliance in the country office
Risk Management:
· To undertake business with a full understanding of all compliance, audit and legal requirements specific to relevant sales area, and in line with 'best practice'.
· In addition in carrying out responsibilities and duties, the jobholder ensures effective compliance and controls in own area and promotes a positive attitude to compliance and controls.
Additional responsibilities :
· To assist the Head of Asset Management in developing and implementing local sales strategy, sales plans and budgets for relevant sales area.
· To participate in the development and implementation of on the ground sales events such as product manager seminars, roadshows and other presentations. In conjunction with central/local Marketing function, to participate in marketing activities (e.g. Marketing campaign planning, development of promotional materials, etc.) to help ensure that they focus on addressing the requirements of the target market.
Desired profile
· Fluent in Dutch / Flemish is a Must- Good command of English is required
· Must have substantial proven sales experience in the financial sector preferably in the Benelux area
· Strong client service attitude
· Bright, enthusiastic, motivated individual
· Team player, but able to work independently
· Confident, professional approach to deal with internal and external partners
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written in languages mentioned above), eager to deliver outstanding service
· Adaptable to a fast changing environment
