Front Office Realtime Bond Pricing Software Engineering
Meteor is a key high-performance price distribution application used across the global Rates trading business. It publishes realtime prices and analytics for bonds and futures onto our internal market data platform for consumption by pricing, execution, and risk management applications, spreadsheets, and data analytics applications for the benefit of clients not only in trading but also in research, banking and beyond.
This is currently built using C++ and Java. Migration onto our strategic Athena platform will require a strong focus on data accuracy and understanding of analytics, data whilst maintaining the excepted high performance and reliability of the existing application.
We are looking for an Applications Developer to own the end to end delivery. This will include requirements, analysis, development and deployment of new and changed components, built on the firm's strategic Athena platform for Global Fixed Income trading system (dealing in Bonds, Futures, Options on Futures, Swaps, Swaptions and other Interest Rates Derivatives). You will work in an agile Continuous Deployment environment.
Having the ability to design for high volumes, low latency, high resiliency and deployment across global trading centres, you will also be collaborating closely with developers on the same platform in very diverse locations and other business lines.
The successful Applications Developer will have;
· Python (or strong Java)
· NoSql databases
· SQL, XML
· Message Oriented Middleware, Automated Acceptance Tests, Continuous Integration, Object oriented analysis and development, automated unit test
Desirable Business Knowledge:
· Fixed Income securities (bonds, bond futures & options) / Interest Rate Swaps / Swaptions / Trade lifecycle
