Global Strategy & Core Services (GSCS) is focused on developing and delivering services that integrate software solutions with infrastructure in innovative, cost effective and efficient ways. The GSCS team provides services for use by business-aligned application delivery organizations, across all layers of the software stack, which may include application interface services, productivity and collaboration tools, and data integration solutions.

 

As a member of the Application Support team, you'll play a big part in managing the platforms, servers, and networks make it possible for us to provide service to our customers, clients, and businesses around the globe each and every day.  As a team, you and your peers will be responsible for driving results, collecting and analyzing monitoring data in test and production, and managing projects to completion.  And while you will be part of a tight-knit team of engineers who shares your passion for technology, you’ll also gain access the best minds in the business—both as part of the JPMorgan Chase & Co. global technology community, and through our partnerships with some of the most important tech firms in the world.

 

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

· 
Knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), System Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)

· 
Knowledge of more than one specific infrastructure technology

· 
Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement

 

Essential Skills:

· 
Experience / knowledge of Atlassian Products; BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence

· 
Experience / knowledge ofContinuous Integration (Hudson/Jenkins), Sonar Source and Artifactory

· 
Experience with Scripting – Python, Perl, UNIX Shell

· 
Experience of Service Monitoring – Nagios, Netcool, Tivoli

· 
Knowledge of Web Services - Apache, Tomcat, SOAP, REST

· 
Knowledge of Automated Testing & Deployment

Other responsibilities extend to application deployment, change management, incident management, capacity upgrades, reporting, system integration and essentially ensuring the availability of a stable and performant platform used by Development and Technology teams across the firm.

 

As primary point of escalation for issues around the support of the Services - both usage and configuration - there will be regular direct contact with end users, excellent communication and the ability to build and maintain relationships is essential.

 

The roles requires someone that is quick learner, detail oriented with the experience of working efficiently and effectively in a global distributed environment.
