Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi) is directly aligned with the Corporate Technology& Risk organization in JPMorgan Chase for end-to-end infrastructure service delivery. The CSi team delivers customized solutions that address the unique technology drivers of CTR while ensuring that centralized products and services are leveraged for their economies of scale. CSi is the primary interface between the Application Development Teams and Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). The Application Monitoring group within CTR-CSi focuses on developing frameworks, application solutions and monitoring tools to continuously drive and improve our Applications state monitoring via a consistently expanding portfolio of products. As an Applications Developer/Architect Lead in the Application Monitoring group, it will be expected of you to: ·Act as lead technologist in engineering and incrementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant multi-tiered enterprise class monitoring solution. ·Drive and own Application Support Strategy, Documentation, and vendor relationships. ·Gather application requirements from AD teams and provide the strategy and direction in aligning the appropriate monitoring solutions/technologies to the Application need. ·Participate in application/infrastructure capacity planning, trend analysis and performance forecasting exercises and propose recommendations to meet ongoing monitoring application performance and scalability demands. ·Provide strategic Tool consulting to stakeholders to ensure current/future monitoring roadmaps align with Application strategies. ·Provide guidance and recommend monitoring solutions for recurring and/or ongoing production incidents affecting Line of Business application environments. Key responsibilities include: ·Participates in Operations support/Vendor team forums to drive operational stability across Monitoring application footprint. ·Own and Drive additional functionality lifecycle, issues/functionality identification, tracking, creation, testing, through implementation. ·Manage and own Application risk variables (code/component vulnerabilities, application access models, etc) across multiple applications. ·Meets regularly with Line of Business application stakeholders to understand the entire application portfolio and ensure current and future monitoring roadmaps align with Application needs Leads efforts to audit and remediate any gaps in the monitoring tools. ·Drive full instrumentation of Tools across Corporate Technology estate. ·Create and maintain Documentation specific to Monitoring tools, on-boarding procedures, and Data Mapping/relationships. ·Provides technical oversight to infrastructure, application, and project teams to ensure monitoring solutions are built/implemented as designed.
Desired profile
·Bachelor"s degree or equivalent experience. ·10+ years of Application Development and/or Solutions Engineering and Design experience specifically in the Application Monitoring, Performance Engineering, or User Experience Monitoring disciplines. ·Advanced to Expert knowledge in various Monitoring tools, such as: ·APM tools (Wily, DynaTrace, AppDynamics, etc) ·Synthetic or UE tools (BSM/Topaz, Apica, Gomez) ·Data visualization tool sets ·Experience in designing, building, implementing, and supporting Monitoring Tool solutions. ·Broad knowledge of multiple UNIX OS platforms and Windows-based operating systems; deep understanding of supporting technologies in SAN, Backup, Middleware, Database, and surrounding infrastructure support technologies. ·Expert level knowledge in Web Servers technologies, such as: Apache, Java, .Net. ·Experience in managing Database Technologies (SQL/Oracle) and Data modeling. ·Technical problem-solving skills. ·Overall IT experience in a Client-Server environment, with practical knowledge of distributed, and desktop technologies. ·Infrastructure architecture & engineering experience, including functional and technical requirements gathering, and solution development. ·Advanced written and oral communication capabilities, ability to influence and successfully interface with executive leadership. ·Broad knowledge of advanced environment monitoring & management tools, performance modeling tools, capacity analysis tools, and other advanced modeling and trending tools.
