Regulatory Technology Team

Regulatory Technology is a global team of ~200 employees responsible for delivering the strategic regulatory technology stack to meet global regulatory requirements for CIB.

GRACE is the platform for all global CIB regulatory reporting, including the orchestration of report production, adjustment, workflow, submission and exception management. It utilises the Cross Asset Operational Data Store (xODS) which is the strategic data warehouse of all CIB post transaction reporting data.

You will be part of an Agile Feature Team working on the strategic GRACE Core platform.

The Individual and Role:
· You will need to be passionate about software development - keen to learn and teach new techniques and approaches.
· Part of a self-managing Agile Feature Team following SCRUM
· Full development and delivery lifecycle - including analysis, design, development and implementation.
· Use TDD approach to write high quality fully tested code in a Continuous Delivery environment.
· Learn the breadth of technologies used in the team.
· Apply Specification By Example and Acceptance Test Driven Development techniques.
· Support the application's BAU processes and activities with a strong focus on Production stability and resiliency.
· Proactively manage relationships with Product Owners through effective communication

Desired profile

Required Competencies:
·  Strong Java / J2EE with good understanding of common Design Patterns
·  JavaScript, Angular JS
·  Oracle and SQL skills
·  Jenkins or similar automation framework
·  Experience of systems analysis and modelling techniques
·  Excellent general analysis and problem solving skills
·  Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business and technology partners.
·  Great team player
·  Strong belief in continual learning and improvement
·  Passionate and a desire to learn Test Driven Development

Desirable Competencies:

·  Background in financial technology.
·  Acceptance Test Driven Development / Specification by Example
·  Continuous Delivery
·  FitNesse or Cucumber
·  Understanding of different testing approaches
