This position is the in the Global Wealth Management organisation in support of the implementation of a global Electronic Signature Service.

As an Applications Developer within the fast paced and challenging Global eSignature technology team you will help develop the platform capabilities and integration with existing services. A successful candidate will need to work with both internal and external technology teams to develop and implement technical solutions in a challenging business environment with global stakeholders. The candidate should possess a strong, demonstrable, software development background and be comfortable working in a dynamic fast moving environment with an evolving remit. This is a hands-on position requiring a candidate capable of both self-direction, technical problem solving skills and an ability to deliver.

Desired profile

Primary responsibility will include:

· Web services development.

· 3 rd party software integration (Java SDK).

· Contribute to all aspects of software development lifecycle with a focus on Java development using J2EE standards

· Integration between systems using a services/enterprise orientated architecture inc. message translation.

· Integration and use of Websphere Message Queue.

· Intermediate UNIX command line skills.

· Basic Oracle database design.

· Story validation, estimation, execution and unit testing.

· Participation in system architecture and design processes inc. a solid understanding of Java web services, REST services, SOA industry development standards and testing techniques.

Expected experience(s) should include:

· BSc degree, preferably in Computer Science / Engineering or similar discipline

· Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, client-server/service oriented architecture

· Java development fluency with 3-7 years experience

· Excellent knowledge of Java technologies including core Java 6, Spring, J2EE and application containers such as Tomcat or IBM WebSphere

· Test Mocking and JUnit

· SOA and web services development experience (REST, SOAP)

· Enterprise systems integration experience (ESB, ETL, BPM, Messaging)

· Database development skills including SQL, relational data design and stored procedures.

· Experiences of Agile or lean software development.

· Business Driven and Test-driven development experience

· Bundle/Ant, Maven, SVN, Jenkins, Eclipse, Jira Greenhoper, Crucible

· Experience with Java 6 (and even Java 8) will be desirable.
