Application Developer role responsible for the development of the
Intraday Liquidity applications for JP Morgan Investment Bank Technology

Candidates will be expected to perform the Java development of the event driven services supporting the Intraday Liquidity Dashboard (IDL). The IDL platform is responsible for continuously aggregating Transactions and Balances from multiple statement, ledger, payment and settlement systems in order to calculate, visualize, and monitor critical metrics relating to JPMorgan's (Cash) Liquidity, Credit Utilization, and Collateral balances.

The role will require proficiency in all aspects of Agile sprint based development, including:

· Working directly with Product Owners to refine and estimate stakeholder requirements
· Performing Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) in order to produce a Production ready Release Candidate every four weeks.
· Designing solutions in a collaborative manner, and in line with defined principles
· Participation in a rota to provide 24/7 third line application support and to perform weekend releases

Essential Technical Skills:

· Excellent core Java knowledge and experience, together with a good understanding of Spring
· Experience of implementing multi-threaded, message/event driven platforms.
· Experience of implementing Cassandra/ Hadoop architectures
· Good understanding of PL/SQL, and it's appropriate use
· Good understanding of development tools: AIM deployment framework, Cucumber Acceptance Tests, GIT source control, Maven build configuration, JIRA task tracking.

Desirable (but not essential) Technical Skills:

· Working knowledge of HTML/Javascript UI development, especially with AngularJS and D3 Charts
· Implementing persistence with Oracle Exadata
· JMS and MQ Series messaging
· Message standards: FPML, SWIFT, etc
