We are currently recruiting for our subsidiary in Gabon, Port-Gentil, a:
VIE Cost Controller M/F (12 months)
The Cost Controller reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for Cost Control Services including but not limited to those of cost estimating, budget control, cost forecasting, cost reporting and cost risk analysis:
- Assists project teams to achieve objectives including budget, scope, time schedule and quality
- Ensures Services business plans are current; monitors actual versus estimated performance
- Identifies improvements for reducing costs and implements improvements into a best practice
- Controls and monitors project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors
- Develops billing methodologies; follows up with clients behind on payments and escalates collections as needed
- Updates and provides monthly reports including estimated cost forecast; analyzes reasons for cost deviations vs. established budgets and estimates; and provides analyses of trends
- Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and common reports for the evaluation of project and financial health
- Develops automated data collection tools; implements and maintains tools for efficient gathering of data
- Provides additional support to Accounting team and special projects as required
Profile
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 2+ years of experience in cost control and project accounting
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to identify and prioritize objectives while managing daily requirements
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collaborates and works well with a team and independently
