Summary

A technical resource for small scale projects. 

Responsibilities

·  Technical resource for small scale projects.
·  Responsible for the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure.
·  Participates in a 24 x 7 oncall support rotation.
·   Implements predefined hardware configurations.
·  Performs Backup and recovery operations.
·  Troubleshoots user issues.
·   Deploys defined hotfixes and patches to server and workstations in response to a newly identified stability or security threat of hardware and software.
·  Utilizes remote compute system diagnostic tools to diagnose and fix problems of relevant department and or corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.
·  Ensures Business Continuity by effectively managing systems and process Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
·  Maintains and adheres to licensing and compliancy requirements.
·  Adheres to all documented actions, practices, procedures and processes.
·  Utilizes remote computer system diagnostic tools to diagnose and fix problems of the relevant department and or corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.
·  Achieves identified metric goals.
·  Adheres to Systems designs.
·  Maintains a good working knowledge of all hardware and software for asset management.
·  Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·  Windows 2000 MCSA certification or newer a plus.
·  1-3 years of IT experience.
·   Familiarity with Windows Principle, practices, implementation, and maintenance.
·  Familiarity with SNMP-based monitoring.
·   Familiarity of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, WINS, and DHCP.
·  Familiarity of the Group Policy and other related AD tasks.
·  Familiarity with automation tools such as scripting languages.
·  Familiarity with security and system hardening.
·  Experience with thin client technologies, Terminal Services, Citrix Metaframe.
·   Hands-on Experience with backup software such a as BrightStor or ARCserve.
·   Experience with antivirus programs, spam filters and web monitoring.
·  Experience with creating and deploying standard desktop images.
·  Excellent verbal and written skills.
·  Knowledge of and experience with different server operating platforms.
·  Windows 2000 MCSE certification or newer a plus.

Education Requirement

High school diploma, G.E.D., Trade/Vocational School certificate or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

Individual will be required to sit and/or remain stationary for extended periods of time. Individual will be required to type and/or operate a computer and other office productivity machinery for extended periods of time. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and/or documents; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and/or extensive reading. The person in this position may need to occasionally walk or otherwise traverse, stand, exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects, bend, reach, kneel, and/or twist for minimal periods of time. Employees should not attempt to lift, pull or push a load in excess of 50 lbs. without assistance. Care should always be taken when lifting, pushing or pulling in an awkward position.
