The VIE candidate would serve as a Business Analyst for Ipsen Canada and will support commercial leadership in developing strategies to promote revenue/market share growth, monitor performance and market trends, develop dashboards for management on sales by product, customer, segment and territory performance. Provide database administration and enhancements support. The individual will have a broad responsibility to support the operations of the Ipsen business.
MISSION:
- Work with the Business Units (BU’s) to develop in-market product forecast models (Revenue/ patient / market share).
- Analyze business performance and gather competitive intelligence using various data sources to guide the development of marketing plans, and inform business strategy.
- Produce brand performance reports, graphs, charts and analysis for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Develop advanced multidimensional reporting that improves management productivity and visibility.
- Maintain information databases that ensure integrity of data being reported.
- Assist in defining and creating sales targets for the sales force.
- Maintain up-to-date brand performance data, showing team and individual monthly/quarterly attainment vs. target.
- Determine differences in top performing sales geographies vs. underperforming and provide recommendations to internal management and sales teams.
- Prepare monthly brand and territory performance reports to identify opportunities and issues
- Support BU’s by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information
- Support business planning processes.
- Support implementation and ongoing management of CRM system.
- Lead and/or participate in corporate driven projects/initiatives as well as process improvement initiatives as assigned or directed.
- Complete objectives established in annual objective setting process.
PROFILE:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry.
- Experience in business analytics role with demonstrated track record of delivering value to the organization.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace, customers and sales team operations.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter and results-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to relate well to internal and external customers.
- Advanced user of MS Office suite of products, especially excel and PowerPoint.
- Database management and experience in survey development is an asset.
- Strong Communications skills.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Able to work across multi-disciplinary teams
- Written and verbal: Fluent in English / bilingual French is a plus
- 4 year University Degree in either Business or related field to market analytics MBA or Post-Graduate Degree would be considered an asset.
- Any additional educational and/or technical certifications in the related field would be considered a plus.
