Job description
We are actively seeking skilled and qualified Software Development Engineers educated to a high level (PhD/ MSc/ 1st or 2:1) in a physical science (physics, mathematics etc) with excellent software development skills and a focus on producing engineering solutions.
You will be based at the Edinburgh offices of our world leading client and will be part of a team researching and developing engineering models that improve and represent the physics and engineering principles around the modelling of large-scale physical data projects.
Duties for this role may include:
- algorithm development,
- software coding,
- interface design and testing of the software tool kit in line with the corporate product development plan.

Skills required: Post graduate commercial experience in Software Development. Ideally with C, C++, .Net Technologies, or Fortran, Visual Studio A PhD or good degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
