Introduction
We are looking for undergraduate or graduate students in Mathematics, Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other related fields who are interested in learning about the daily management of client relationships, involving traditional financial and international trade finance to kick-start their future careers in Trade and Structured Export Financing. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a multi-cultural team, including professionals with different backgrounds who are dedicated to the daily activities of a Financial Institutions Desk primarily focused on closing, executing, managing and monitoring Trade and Structured Export Financing transactions. Teamworking, problem solving and analytical skills are what we are looking for in our new colleagues.
Activities
Primarily support the senior professionals of the Financial Institutions team in closing, executing, managing and monitoring Trade and Structured Export Financing transactions. Main activities: • to analyze the details of the transactions; • to prepare the plan of disbursements and repayments; • to monitor the alignment of credit lines and outstanding balances; • to provide support in the opening of account relationships, including researching the proposed client to obtain the required KYC information and preparing the account opening documentation; • to prepare weekly and monthly utilization and profitability reports by country • to provide support in the preparation of all correspondence, proposals and documentation, monitoring of disbursements and settlements, tracking legal documentation to insure that all required documents are received, properly filed and kept current; • to coordinate with Treasury and back office to insure smooth handling of transactions; • to schedule and coordinate the team's meetings and business travel plans and prepare related expense reports; • to assist in the preparation of the team's yearly budget process. Possible direct involvement in any initiatives and projects managed or co-managed by the Head of the Financial Institutions Desk will be dependent on hard & soft skills already acquired.
What you will learn
• You will be exposed to the daily activities of the Financial Institutions Desk primarily focused on the management of traditional trade export finance products and procedures, financing dynamics and related corporate risks • You will learn how an International bank such as Intesa Sanpaolo support the business developments of its Corporate Clients globally, primarily in the Americas region, having the opportunity to interact with a multitude of different Business Functions and Business Structures.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, or Business Administration/ an MBA or Master's Degree Program in Banking and / or Finance; • strong quantitative and analytical skills; • general understanding of international business, traditional trade export finance and its products and practices; • credit/financial Statements reclassification and analysis skills; • basic accounting knowledge; • proficiency in MS Office; • proficiency in English (Italian would is considered a plus), both written and spoken; • availability for 6 months Distinctive advantage would be: • knowledge of, or previous experience supporting traditional financial and international trade finance transactions advantageous; • previous internship in an International bank.
