Job description

It is looking for new qualified profiles who want to face demanding and challenging career path with the following requirements:
Scope and Purpose
Ensure compliance with financial, taxation and regulatory requirements
To assist and prepare regulatory and tax returns for APRA and ATO
Prepare financial reports and tax schedules. Ensure report accuracy and timely submission to regulators and Head Office
Assist in monitoring and controlling the daily general ledger and day/month-end closing
Assist in preparing local management reports/HO reports
Implementing Finance projects that deliver process efficiency and enhanced control
Resolve financial accounting issues for new products or systems including changeover, implement new accounting standard and policies
Participate in streamline processes through review the workflow and procedures, as well as prepare and update accounting procedures and manuals
Assist UAT testing and support ad hoc projects
Ensure 'satisfactory' rating is obtained from any internal, external and regulatory audits
Any other ad hoc requests from Head of Accounting
Required Experience
At least 3+ years accounting experience in Banking or financial institution with knowledge of accounting standard and other regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent and CPA qualified
• Motivated and good attitude
• Analytic skills
• Strong communication skills and influencing skills
• Ability to challenge and raise potential issues
• Team player along with the ability to work independently & find solutions
• Strong financial accounting knowledge
• Energetic
• Good understanding of the regulatory & taxation reporting process of the Bank
• Strong relationship with the key stakeholders within branch is a key advantage
