Represent the voice of the user!

Write authoritative best-practices guides and contribute to an open culture of knowledge sharing among colleagues working within or around Project Alloy

Own the vision of major UX initiatives like the Alloy out-of-box experience including wireframes and user stories

Evaluate daily progress and influence the direction of hardware engineering and industrial design teams

Forge cross-group relationships with other Intel business units involved in competitive analysis, performance evaluation, user experience research, ethnography, and marketing and developer enabling.

Manage and balance critical features with platform capabilities.

Shape abstract, ambiguous product design goals into concrete experiences.

Champion data-driven approaches to decision making

Develop prototypes to collect and analyze experiments in 2D/3D interaction design.

Examine user experience concepts to support key platform features room-scale tracking, hand visualization and interaction, environmental awareness, starting from storyboards to fully interactive vignettes.

Research and communication of VR technology trends and emerging interaction design patterns relevant to mobile virtual reality

Self-directed playtesting, competitive analysis, and reporting on VR/AR/MR platforms - this position requires daily usage of VR!

Perceptual Computing (PerC) is an organization within Intel tasked with the research, development, and productization of technologies for Natural User Interaction, encompassing both human to machine and human to human experiences. PerC aims to build technologies that would help users to have natural, immersive and intuitive interaction with computers through not only touch interface but also through hand gestures, voice and video. The objective of PerC is to explore consumer-focused hardware and software applications of close-range hand and finger gestures, speech recognition, face recognition and tracking, augmented reality and more.

Desired profile

BA/BS in New Media, Psychology, HCI or related field
2-3+ years of experience working with interactive products
Strong portfolio of advanced user interaction design
3D or natural user interaction
Familiar with common software engineering practices

Nice to Have
Master's degree MA/MS/MFAExperience with natural gestures or VR controllers
Hands-on prototyping experience with UnityWireframe, storyboards, and sketches can only go so far in communicating
