You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The suitable candidate must be pursuing a a Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- 6 system storage and the relationship to the platform ingredients (CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers Drivers, OS, firmware Firmware).
- 6 months experience with Storage, Validation, datacenter, SATA, PCIe, System Validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience executing validation plans that encompass all aspects of product validation.
- 6+ months of experience executing test-to-fail scenarios.

Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group: The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive (SSD) system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing.

Desired profile
Responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the role, U.S. experience and education requirements. Job assignments may be for the summer or for short periods throughout the school year
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Performing firmware test and validation, power and performance characterization; manufacturing support and customer support for Micron's Enterprise SSDs• Test development to SSD design specifications• Development, review and execution of SSD test plans• Performing SSD failure analysis to root cause• Identifying and closing process holes• Leading a team of validation engineers• Identifying quality metrics, setting quality expectations and measuring quality improvements
