SPS Firmware Platform Application Engineer

Job Description: In this position, you will be joining the team enabling the industry"s best enterprise platform Technologies as a Platform Applications Engineer (PAE) in the Datacenter Platform Engineering (DCPAE) organization. We have exciting opportunities to apply your technical knowledge to accelerate deployment of solutions based on Intel Xeon processor-based platform proliferations. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Server Platform Services Firmware and Tools.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Writing technical product documentation, developing and delivering training classes, demos, customer collaterals, and providing technical support for industry events and forums. This will include creation and maintenance of data sheets and application notes.
-Interfacing with the account FAE teams to drive customer technical issues (Software, Driver, Firmware, and Operating system) to successful conclusion.
-Working to provide support for new product introduction from pre-silicon through the sustaining phase for DCG platforms.
-Participating in direct customer interaction for issue resolution and to maintain technical alignment. You will act as a technical expert, developing solutions to customer problems.
-Acting as the voice of customers to backend engineering teams and PDTs/PXTs for customer feedbacks, use cases and change requests.

Desired profile

- Minimum education requirement: Bachelor"s degree in computer science with a minimum of five years of industry experience or demonstrated equivalent credentials

- Broad understanding of Intel Processor, Chipset, Server, software, and firmware technology

- Experience in developing technical product documentation, presentation, deliver training classes, demos, and provide technical support for industry events and forums

- Experience troubleshooting and solving technical issues for customers and drive customer technical issues on Software, Driver, Firmware, and OS to successful conclusion, drive issue resolution across multiple development teams, groups and divisions, and provide end customer collaterals

- At least five years of industry experience, at least half of which has been focused on software programming on Intel Architecture

- At least three years of C/C++ or assembly programming experience, working knowledge of Windows/Linux/BIOS, installation and configuration

- Able to develop device driver or software, utilities for Microsoft Windows or Linux OS.

- Able to develop reference code and write documentation for computer performance and power tuning. Able to work with and coordinate activities with global word-wide teams.

- Experiences on Server Manageability, BMC FW or AMT/vPro, IPMI protocol are preferred..

- Must have demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and respond professionally to customer questions/issues. Candidate must work independently, multitask effectively and exhibit strong influencing skills and customer orientation

- Experience working with MNC"s and experience developing "customer ready" collateral and delivering training is highly desirable.

- Ability to define and communicate problems clearly to others while working across multiple groups and sites

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
