A co-op term with Intel of Canada's Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a challenging and rewarding experience, allowing you to gain knowledge and experience in design and test of IC and module products for the next generation of Solid State Drives (SSDs).
We are looking for students with communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving ability, a desire to learn a general knowledge of embedded systems, digital design, software/firmware development and testing methodology. in a project-based teamwork environment.
As a member of our Systems Engineering team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems, making an important contribution to our exciting high-performance SSD projects.
The Vancouver ASIC team is growing rapidly and is looking for positive, driven students who are eager to learn and help us expand our solid state drive SSD business.
When you join our team, you will participate in all aspects of chip development from architecture and planning to implementation and execution.
We will provide training and valuable hands-on experience in the latest engineering tools and techniques, such as System Verilog and UVM.
You will be working with an expert ASIC team, many of whom are former coop students and recent grads, who will provide mentoring and guidance as you grow your skills.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature.
Canadian experienceand education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job.
Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
We encourage undergraduate candidates with relevant work experience in other co-op terms, work experience to apply.

Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group: The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive (SSD) system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing.

Qualifications
You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/researchand/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Must have the unrestricted right to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be pursuing a BS degree on Computer Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, ComputerScience or related field.
Minimum 3 months experience in:
· Linux.
· C/C++.
· Debugging.
Preferred Qualifications:
Digital logic design VHDL, Verilog and/or an understanding of logic gates
