Senior Technical lead ( Android Middleware )

Job description

Job Description: Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.

Desired profile

1. Strong knowledge of Android applications, services and JNI.
2. Expert understanding of Android/Linux middleware & architecture, Android core/native libraries.
3. Understanding of Android Security and device security algorithms, APIs and security application development
4. Understanding of connectivity protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy, ZigBee and 6lowpan. Understanding of WIFI, BT, GPS services.
5. Understanding protocols like HTTP, MQTT, COAP
6. Usage of Source control tools like GIT and SVN
7. Hands on expertise with design patterns , real time asynchronous systems
8. Agile software development using scrum methodology.
9. Debugging on Android
Experience or familiarity with Internet of Things Architectures
10. Working knowledge of Embedded Linux OS internals, Device Drivers, Frameworks and Application development
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. Proven track record as a self-directed, energetic, individual contributor
13. Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
14. 10+ years of experience in Related discipline.
