RP1 Fab and Clean Lab Techician
Graduate job Hillsboro (Washington County) Personal services
Job description
The Components Research (CR) Process Technician will work in both the RP1 Fab and Clean Labs. CR's mission is to research and develop advanced technology options for our primary customer, Technology Manufacturing Group, whose charter is to deliver leading edge technology for compelling products at an affordable cost. CR technicians may work in one or more modules, including Thin Films, Etch/Cleans, Litho, Planar, Metals/Dielectrics, and Diffusion. CR's multiple Clean Labs also support research and development of new technology options and, as noted above, the process technician will work in both areas. Over time, the technician's role may change as business needs dictate, and there will be ample opportunities to cross train on different Fab and lab tools to support technical growth. The technician will work both within a team and as an individual contributor, with specific assignments determined via daily passdown. Safety and Quality output are essential to growing in your job role. You will learn how to operate process, lab, metrology, and X-SEM tools (including prepping samples). You will be required to join the Emergency response Team and participate in other fab operations duties.

Responsible for monitoring and auditing the semiconductor manufacturing process. Responsible for making recommendations to modify equipment and/or processes to improve yield results. May process test runs to determine results of modifications. May assist process engineering in developing new processes. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work. This is an entry level position.

Carrying up to 6-9 lbs. of weight more than 20 times per day (may utilize cart).
Ability to work in a clean room environment, wearing Gortex gowns, booties, safety glasses and gloves.

Engineers and Technicians alike must move product between equipment and modules.
Spending the majority of shift time either in the fab processing experiments, or working in the lab helping with experiments.
