The AMCore Client Platform engineering team delivers endpoint malware protection components that are integrated into multiple products.Our team is split between the Aylesbury (UK) and the Bangalore (India) offices made up of Development and Quality Assurance engineers.As a QA engineer (SDET), in the Functional QA Team, your main responsibility would be producing automated test harnesses to test that functionality behavior matches a specification, analyzing Functional Specifications to ensure testability and working closely with Developers to automate the functional deliverables in a project. An SDET QA Engineer at Intel Security is a developer with the primary responsibility of effective assurance of product quality through test automation, code inspections, peer reviews, and other forms of engineering excellence. It is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality and technology, while providing an immense opportunity to design and develop test automation. It combines the “building” aspect of software development with the “testing” part of quality assurance. As a QA Engineer you can analyze business requirements and scenarios very well. Create test plans, test cases and build test frameworks to execute them.
This is an excellent opportunity for a College Graduate or QA engineer with 1-2 years' experience, on this position you will:
· Author detailed software quality requirements to meet Intel quality standards.
· Work with product development teams throughout the product development life cycle to ensure software quality requirements and goals are established and met.
· Train the team on quality engineering practices.
· Drive effective software practices to ensure project work products comply with applicable standards, requirements.
Skills and experience required:
· Bachelor/Master degree in computer science, electronic engineering, telecom or related field.
· Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.
· Solid experience of software engineering and quality process.
· Good knowledge of coding patterns and coding best practices Automated build and test infrastructure e.g. Jenkins. Unit test and Code coverage concepts and tools.
· Should have strong automation experience, and excellent problem solving skills.
· Expertise in Python 2.x or 3.x programming as well as solid understanding of basic CS concepts is must. Continuous Integration concepts and best practices.
· Analysis of software requirements, planning of functional and non-functional tests.
· Experience in developing automated test frameworks (as opposed to writing automated tests for an existing framework, such as LoadRunner/WinRunner/QTP etc.).
· Desired:Knowledge of Agile Methodologies ISTQB certification.
· Test/Management tools - in particular Quality Center, Bugzilla, SVN, Version One.
· Experience of Security consideration in Software design VMWare/vSphere administration.
· Process automation (software engineering).
