Job Description: As a Product Platform Validation Engineer, you will be responsible to develop functional platform system based manufacturing test programs and test suites ensure the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. In this position, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop debug test methodologies, complex software programs for new device features, functionality and convert design validation vectors drive complex test equipment; make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits; analyze both hardware software architectures and solutions; engaging in new product development including debugging, performing failure analysis, and characterization using knowledge on hardware, software, firmware, BIOS/EFI debug techniques; analyze and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability; create and apply concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints. In addition, the candidate is responsible to drive for manufacturing test hole resolution in this high-paced environment; and drive for the product to meet program health metrics. Good communication skills are also a plus as the candidate will be working with cross-organizational teams on the electrical HW/SW design, integration and validation of system level control systems; interfacing with Design, System Validation, structural development engineering, QR, other technology development groups (ATD/STTD) and high volume manufacturing factories to drive track program readiness. The candidate should have a good understanding of computer and system architecture concepts, experience in system debug using software and hardware debug tools, operating system concepts and debug, understanding of Intel Architecture block level diagrams, board layout and rework, firmware programming, platform troubleshooting, thermal tool operation and mechanics, automated systems, data collection, analysis, and reporting for trend spotting and driving closure of systematic issues. The candidate should also autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Desired profile
The candidate is preferred to have a M.S. or Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering with experience in component/board level validation or product engineering. Other qualifications include -Experienced in Intel internal validation tools in terms of software content [SVOS, Microsoft Windows family operating systems, Google Android/Chrome] and Intel chipset firmware control and modification (BIOS ME/VE logic) and test motherboards (STHI and STHI test programming) and xPV handler design. -Strong plus in having background in hands-on debug and validation experience in a lab environment on Intel Architecture platform products (chipsets, CPU, boards add-in-cards including SPI, PMIC and I/O test cards) using instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, protocol analyzers etc. -Experience writing and debugging code in Visual Basic, VB Script, C/C++, Linux, Perl, Python, APSE Test Program syntax and/or Visual Studio in a .NET environment is desired -Proficiency in Assembly language programming would be an added advantage Behavioral traits include: - A self-starter, Quick learner, eager to embrace new challenges and work in a highly collaborative environment - Effective verbal and written communication skills, influencing skills, good interpersonal skills and managing stakeholder expectations with Design, System Validation, Class PDE, QR and other TD groups in enabling platform validation activities. - Ability to work with minimal supervision -Creative and ability to solve technical problems based on personal expertise and leveraging of technical resources and networking -Ability to multitask across problem domains
