Come join Intel's Product Architecture Group organization as a Performance Architect. In this role you will be responsible for architectural explorations, evaluation for design alternatives, performance and power projections and performance validation using state of the art simulation and analysis tools and technology to ensure future IA systems deliver industry leading performance. You will be part of a small team investigating new models and methodologies for projecting and validating performance for a variety of emerging and traditional workloads and applying these projections to Intel's current and future Server products. This role will require strong cross-division collaboration with architects, product leads, software experts, and projection infrastructure developers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the computer platforms space either as a hardware architect or in a performance role and a deep understanding of the different competing architectures as well as the trade-offs or challenges in this space. Possess a strong background in computer architecture, performance analysis, and software with a focused expertise in several of these areas: parallel programming and architectures, architecture performance simulation and analysis, accelerators, cloud and enterprise workloads, and/or high-performance memory architectures.
The successful candidate must have:
· Demonstrated success in driving technical issues and decisions at the organizational level
· Ability to communicate issues and trade-offs with management will be essential in this role
· Excellent hardware, software design, debug skills, and demonstrated the ability to work as a part of a strong functional team

The Platform Engineering Group (PEG) is responsible for the design, development, and production of system-on-a-chip (SoC) products that go into Intel's next generation client and mobile platforms. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's 6+ years or Master's degree 4+ years in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Experience in computer architecture, design or performance - system level experience, CPU, network, GPU software development and/or application development, optimization and debugging exposure, and understanding of workloads and benchmark performance - platform level architectures and performance Experience with performance modeling, simulations and analysis. Experience in software development and debugging skills: C/C++ and scripting languages Preferred Qualifications PhD 2+ years' experience in computer architecture or computer science
