The Windows OS (WOS) Team is searching for passionate and energetic OS Software Engineer - Intern. During the internship, you will be responsible for developing, researching, and analyzing software enhancements for Microsoft operating systems (OS) and Intel products. Researching and analyzing processor and platform features and architecture definition for future Intel processors and platforms.

Desired profile

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a MS or PhD in Computer Engineering or other relevant degree- Minimum of 6 months of educational experience experience in the following areas: Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, and Data Structures & Algorithms- Candidate must have at least 6+ months of hands on experience with C/C++/ASM programming and data structures or algorithms
- Candidate must have at least 6+ months of work or educational experience with Intel architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and hands on experience in OS fundamentals, OS internals, OS-level APIs, driver development, system level development / prototype is highly desirable- Experience resolving kernel and driver issues is highly desirable
