As a manager, It's vital to set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees and manage performance. Managers are also in charge of:

  • Supervising the activities of product teams or staff in a manufacturing area.
  • Assessing personnel and material levels to determine production schedules.
  • Assigning personnel and monitors the flow of work in process through the manufacturing facility.
  • Establishing operating policies and procedures, coordination of multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, establishing strategic plans to ensure production schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.
  • Overall safety of personnel, company assets, and the surrounding environment.
  • Planning and scheduling daily tasks
  • Using judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. (Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.)

In this position you will be responsible for managing compressed workweek (CWW) technicians and operators in ODP (Oregon Die Prep). Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a team of approximately 20-25 Manufacturing Technicians and Operators, and is accountable for the performance of the Compressed Work Week module teams, as measured against Factory safety, quality, output, people, and cost goals.
  • Responsible for the appropriate training, mentoring, coaching, and performance management of the Manufacturing Technicians and Operators.
  • Establish a strong relationship with the other Operations Managers and the Engineering Group Leaders and Area Managers to drive operational expertise and excellence across all modules/shifts of the organization.
  • May be required to certify and perform as an Emergency Response Team Leader.
  • Assigns personnel and monitors the flow of work in process through the manufacturing facility.
  • Establish and ensure operating policies and procedures are followed.

Minimum Qualifications

**This position has a compressed work week shift 4 schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four nights a week.Shift 4works front half of the week night shift (Sunday-Tuesday, every other Saturday).**

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Candidate must be able to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.
  • This U.S. position is open to U.S. Workers Only. A U.S. Worker is someone who is either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, or a person granted Refugee or Asylum status by the U.S. Government. Intel will not sponsor a foreign national for this position.

At least 1 year of experience in:

  • Manufacturing supervisory and/or management in a High Volume Manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in:

  • Technology Development on a semiconductor industry related environment.
  • Semiconductor process flow technology and theory of constraint management
