The IOTG team is dedicated to helping Intel drive the next major growth inflection through productivity and new business models that are emerging as a result of IoT. Our software engineers are responsible for enabling various software drivers and supporting the Linux OS for Intel's embedded products like IoT Gateway solutions

In this position, you will perform verification and validation on software integration and ingredients. You will architect, lead and debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for IOTG products. Software validation activities include define, design, develop, adopt & modify, and execute software test plans. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action. Partner with software development leads and engineers in resolution of software problems. Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Research and drive innovative solutions for software validation including technical papers and proof-of-concepts. Owner of product Software Test Plan (STP). Chairing Software Defect Steering Forum (DST) in disposition and driving software sightings and issues to satisfactory closure. Desired profile

Qualifications

- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of solid experiences in programming languages like C, C++, Bash, Python, Java, Perl, Shell scripting and so forth.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to drive technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Passionate to strive and excel in a diverse team environment and with others in cross-site organizations.
- Strong passion and desire in path-finding, exploring and learning new things and driving for engineering excellence and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellent technical leadership and competency in Manageability components e.g. FOTA, AOTA and SOTA.
- Experience in defining, setting up automation for Continuous Integration for Manageability software validation.
- Proven track records in cross platforms and products system level debugging skills, with in depth knowledge in OS working internals, kernel system and architecture, device drivers and SW stack.
- Demonstrated Windows or Android or Linux system debugging and integration skill. Capable of troubleshooting software issues in Windows or Android or Linux.
