Responsible for technical functions in support of engineering & manufacturing activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment.

Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in development work. May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Description: IMR engineering technician will be responsible to operate, maintain and perform maintenance on various specialized production equipment. Also, they will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, mechanical and electromechanical modules used in fab manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and following detailed repair procedures and specifications, for accurately maintaining repair unit records, for performing failure analysis and accurately documenting the results in reports, and will assist with engineering development and continuous improvement projects. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple simultaneous work assignments, work within a team-oriented atmosphere, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. A positive attitude towards safe behavior and continuous improvement of a safe work environment is a must.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

·  2 year Technical degree or equivalent Military certification.
·  2 years experience in production environment machine shop, plastic, light manufacturing.
·  Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment .
·  Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely articulate through written and verbal communication .
·  Demonstrated understanding of the importance of quality and ability to effectively use process control and quality systems .

Additional qualifications:

·  Must be able to inspect complex parts, to read and understand complicated drawings, and have training in advanced math and precision measuring instruments both English and Metric.
·  Operate & maintain various equipment/machines.
·  Ability to apply Industry standards and geometric tolerances and dimensions.
·  Work from sketches and conversations with engineers as necessary .
·  Inspect work to assure parts conform to blueprint by the use of precision measuring equipment.
·  Maintains safety procedures for self as well as for others using the built tools/prototypes.
·  Ability to work independently.
·  Must also be able to demonstrate organizational Intelligence: History of working effectively with teams that continue to grow and foster in a dynamic environment.
·  Communication: Proficient in written and verbal communication. Expected to lead presentations to IMR engineers & managers, stakeholders and other business partners. Motivated, self-directed, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
