Description: Intel is seeking an experienced employment lawyer to join its Greater Americas (GAM) HR Legal Attorney team. The role reports to the GAM Attorney Manager. The position is responsible for providing strategic employment litigation and counseling advice to HR professionals and management.
Responsibilities: In this position, you will be responsible for strategic management of outside counsel on employment litigation and for providing practical and strategic advice and training to Intel managers, HR professionals and other internal customers on all aspects of employment and labor law, including but not limited to discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour, privacy, ADA/FMLA, traditional labor law and state tort law.
Desired profile
Qualifications: You must possess a J.D., licensed in California, Arizona or Oregon with more than 10 years of employment law litigation and counseling experience. Additional qualifications include but are not limited to:
* Knowledge and ability to provide prompt, practical counsel on all aspects of US employment law
* Proven track record of successful litigation management and dispute resolution; trial experience highly valued
* Strong litigation and investigations background highly valued in this position
* Prior in-house employment counsel experience in the technology sector a plus
* Ability to provide practical and creative solutions to employment issues while minimizing legal risk
* Strong verbal communication, writing, training, and team/interpersonal skills
* Ability to identify changes in law and ensure compliance, supervise and manage agency charges, propose guideline and practice changes, investigate and/or supervise investigation of complex employment complaints, and educate and train internal customers
* Demonstrate the ability to identify, define and analyze problems, establish decision making parameters, assess risks, recommend prompt, practical solutions, and influence stakeholders
* Ability to multitask effectively
* Travel is required
* Ability to work well both independently and successfully collaborate with other legal and business colleagues in fast paced geographically dispersed organization.
