Job description

Job Description

The Programmable Solutions Group PSG has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. Now, as part of Intel, we develop world-class Field Programmable Gate Array FPGA technology: both the FPGA hardware itself and the associated software components including compilers for high-level languages such as OpenCL. To take advantage of the many opportunities that we see for FPGAs, PSG is looking for great engineers to join our teams. As a member of the UK team within the High Level Design HLD group, you will primarily be responsible for designing and implementing improvements in the HLD compiler. The HLD compiler is shared by the Intel FPGA OpenCL, HLS and DSPBuilder frontends. In addition to the broader HLD compiler work, the UK team develops and supports the DSPBuilder block-based design frontend. Your work will include the analysis of bottlenecks in user designs, implementation of compiler optimizations and comprehensive benchmarking of the FPGA-targeted generated hardware. As optimization is a global problem, the work may involve a mix of compiler software development and digital hardware design. If you are interested in diverse technical challenges, working with great people on a key part of Intel PSG's business and putting your work directly into Intel's customers' hands, then the UK HLD compiler team may be right for you. The UK Intel PSG office is in High Wycombe, 40 minutes from central London and Oxford. The office has large work spaces with dedicated high specification PCs/laptops, multiple displays and access to local and global compute farms. On-site you have access to a subsidised restaurant, a cafe, free hot and cold drinks, free gymnasium with daily classes, weekly badminton, indoor football and trail running activities.

Inside this Business Group
