Failure Analysis R&D Engineer

Job description

In this position, you will be responsible for developing tools and solutions for Intel worldwide labs to debug Intel Microprocessors and/or chipsets in order to improved yield, quality and reliability in addition to building software solutions to enhance lab efficiency. Tester tool engineer have opportunity to be constantly exposed to the latest Intel Product technology ranging architecture, circuit to Design-For-Test (DFT) and latest tester tool software.
Your responsibility as Software Developer will include but not limited to:

1. Develop software solutions (both desktop and web application) to solve issues and enhance the capability in the Intel labs.
2. Develop hardware and tester tool for fault isolation purpose.
3. Researching emerging technology for debugging and defining new methodologies and capabilities to test and debug Intel products.
4. Working with Failure Analysis and Component Debug team to debug rejects and unit sightings.

Desired profile

1. You must possess a Master's or a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Microelectronics or Computer Science/engineering.
2. Knowledge in system level hardware, tester knowledge and software programming (must have Perl, and C++ knowledge. ,net/SQL is a plus)
3. Strong interest in circuit/design analysis DFT/DFD implementation and/or computer architecture.
4. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
5. Knowledge in FPGA programming would be an added advantage.
