Job description
Job Description: In this position, you will be responsible for supplier management responsibilities and commercial negotiations for GSM Assembly suppliers from selection through development and into High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). You will develop and lead supply chain strategies with our current and new suppliers for Equipment, Collaterals, and First of a Kind (FoK) tools. You will mentor and lead partner organizations in business and commercial strategies (such as Technology Development (TD), Assembly Test Manufacturing (ATM), Finance, and other groups internal to GSM). The job requires you to acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased and develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors the cost (analysis and reduction), schedule (volume analysis, on time tool and spares delivery), and scope of assigned contracts to assure best quality and service at best value. Manages the supplier relationship and performance as the single point of contact for Intel. Developing equipment maintenance support strategies and aligning supplier roadmaps with partner organizations and internal stakeholders.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate possesses an M.B.A. with more than 3 years or a Bachelor"s degree with more than 4 years of negotiating experience as a commercial agent for Intel.
Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to understand the technical and commercial details and form strong partnerships with technology development, corporate services and internal GSM partners.
- Advanced negotiation skills and certified in commercial negotiations
- Solid analytical aptitude, technical problem-solving capability and able to engage with suppliers regarding financials and business indicators
- Creativity and ability to formulate new strategies & solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrated competency managing and anticipating change and/or implications across all elements of the commercial landscape
- Ability to lead, deliver results and flex in highly ambiguous situations as well as work within a flexible team
- Proficient in upward communication, influencing and an inclination toward consensus building
- Prior manufacturing experience and demonstrated working ability with supplier technical and commercial personnel
- Highly organized with efficient time management skills and excellent detail orientation and follow-through.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial/business processes/systems in current area, including commercial processes, selections, negotiations, benchmarking, with working knowledge of procurement policies and contract law.
- Engage in small-medium scope selection activities from a commercial perspective.
- Ability to successfully manage/drive multiple commercial projects/initiatives.
- Consistently participates in or leads effective commercial teams and groups with minimal manager direction.
- Has a record of self-directed and high performance.
