The 3GPP Non-Access Stratum Software Engineer will work on challenging development topics in a dynamic and cross-functional team of technical experts.

We expect a highly-motivated technical expert with strong interests in problem solving and very good comprehension skills. You should be flexible to travel from time to time.

The specific task would be the participation in the development work in the Non-Access Stratum in Intel's 2G/3G/4G protocol stack solution, which comprises:

·  Analysis of specifications coming from 3GPP, operators and customers and derive respective requirements
·  Creating and updating documentation including functional and detailed design specifications
·  Design, implementation and integration of new functionalities according to 3GPP, customer and operator requirements
·  Validation of the code changes in Intel's host simulation environment
·  Development of solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process
·  Analysis of root causes of issues reported by the customer or internal verification team and implementation of corresponding fixes in the code

Desired profile

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering- Experience with working in a multisite version controlled system like IBM rational Clearcase or GIT in UNIX/Linux

-Experience in working on the commercialization of LTE technology in mobile phones and tablets

- Basic knowledge in Agile/Lean software development, e.g. Scrum

- Expert programming and debugging skills in C in an embedded system preferably in Mobile Communications domain

- Good communication skills and team player

Preferred Qualifications :

- Detailed Knowledge about telecommunications business and technical principles 3GPP specifications 24.301, IRAT between 3G and 4G

-1+ years of software development in wireless protocol stack in Non Access Stratum layer, with related trace decoders
