CAD Technician/Engineer

Job description

Instalcom Limited are a progressive utility based contractor that undertakes the excavation and installation of underground services for the provision of Fibre Optic Cables, Electric Power Cable and Water Mains. They are currently looking for a suitably experienced and qualified person to join their engineering team based at Borehamwood, Herts, to undertake topographical surveys, site measurements and the production of CAD based drawings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Site topographical surveying and recording of ongoing works activity and progress, by measurement and recording works information, taking photos and using the GPS to accurately plot newly installed utility service routes and other related construction works.

• Creation of as-laid records, editing, validation, publication and submission of service records.

• Creation, preparation and amendment of AUTOCAD based technical and geographic drawings and electronic documentation.

• Assisting with the preparation and publication of project related and tender documentation.
