Job description
A digital media company producing creative, innovative and engaging football focused content for the web. By telling untold football stories they create genuine audience engagement with the fan based communities which fuel it. The company strongly believe in the power of connecting young audiences with their passions through film and partnerships with major brands who are looking to engage with those audiences, such partners include Adidas, HTC and Hyundai.
This is a 3 month internship paying £1,100 per month with a view to converting to a permanent position.
A typical day would be:
You will join the data analysis team responsible for understanding how each campaign attracts traffic and look to grow online audiences amongst football fan communities.
Tasks interns can expect to undertake and learn about undertake:
- Work with the Audience Development Manager and use data analytics tools and processes to grow online audiences.
- Provide support for weekly and monthly data reporting processes.
- Support the commercial part of the business with audience research and data insights to support brand pitches etc.
- Support regular fan surveys and qualitative research projects as required.
- Support paid media campaigns as required.
- Join the daily social media meeting to pin down what football articles and stories will be covered that day, based on what’s trending across the web.
- Work with the production teams to provide insights on how video content is performing, making recommendations on how to optimise all videos.
- Support the Audience Dev Manager on managing daily, weekly and monthly reporting processes using various analytics tools; e.g. YouTube Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics and other services such as Socialbakers.
- Support the Audience Development Manager on generating research and insight for both our editorial teams and also our brand partners such as Hyundai and Man City.

- Educated to degree level.
- An affinity with data analysis and ability to use spreadsheets is a must.
- Awareness and understanding of various social media platforms is desirable.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy is vital.
- Ability to multitask and willingness to get involved in areas outside of the scope of work listed above
- Ability to spot trends or insights and draw logical conclusions.
Desired
- Interest in football & knowledge of teams, players etc.
- Knowledge of online data tools like Google Analytics, YouTube analytics, Facebook analytics is very beneficial.

This is a new role – it is supporting the Audience Development Manager who manages all YouTube activity plus Data Insights & Analytics.
