Java Web Developer - Germany Relocation Provided

Job description

This is a unique opportunity for a Java Web Developer experienced in using Java frameworks (GWT, Vaadin etc.) and the design and implementation of Java based web applications to join a world leading and truly international scientific research organisation headquartered in Germany.

Fantastic packages and benefits plus relocation support and assistance. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU without sponsorship. Fixed term 3 years, extendable to 9 years with end of contract bonus.

The Java Developer will be responsible for:

• The design and implementation of the Java technology web applications
• Software life cycle management from analysis to maintenance of the delivered solutions
• Analysing requirements and interfacing closely with the stakeholders and taking their ideas and turning them into a design

The successful Java Developer will have the following level of experience & skills:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related subject coupled with at least 3 years professional experience in developing web applications based on Java technology
• Familiar with using component based Java Frameworks: Vaadin, GWT (Google Web Toolkit), Wicket, Echo
• Designing and developing applications using JavaScript Frameworks: jQuery, Dojo, ExtJs, YUI
• A solid background in: OO Design Patterns, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, Maven, JUnit or TestNG
• Principles of continuous-integration, principles of database design and some SQL.
• Some knowledge of Tomcat server administration and Linux systems management would clearly be an asset
• A broad overview of related enterprise software technologies such as CMS, User Directory and authentication technologies

It is essential for the Java Developer to have an excellent communications skills in English and German or French language skills would be a great asset

In return you can expect to receive a net salary in the region of €3.300 net per month plus additional living allowances, excellent benefits and relocation packages.
