ING Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Bond Syndicate Team hires in Brussels
Do you want to join a young and dynamic team active within an international network/context?
For our syndicate and primary market activities in Brussels, we are looking for a dynamic employee. On the syndicate desk, new bonds (for companies, financial institutions and countries) are being prepared, structured and distributed to the market.
With our daily contacts with the DCM Bond Origination team, the different sales & trading desks in Europe, the US & Asia and the legal teams, we are looking for new bond issues done by clients of Corporate and Financial Institutions Commercial Banking. The bonds that DCM bring to market can be plain vanilla bonds, securitized bonds, private placements as well as structured bonds.
We are currently looking to add one dynamic person active as desk assistant for all sub-segments (Corporates, Financials, Sovereigns, Agencies, private placements) of the DCM syndicate activity.
Are you someone who …
·  Has a High School/University degree with preference for an economic/mathematical background.
·  Has a few years of experience in a Finance context is an advantage but not a necessity.
·  Has a few years of experience within Financial Markets is a positive.
·  Has good knowledge of Microsoft office and excel in particular, an IT background helps.
·  Is multilingual (English + a second language). Knowledge of an extra language is seen as an asset

·  Is quick, data oriented, strong analytical spirit with a healthy portion of flexibility and dynamic working behaviour.
·  Is a team player capable of handling different topics at the same time within a short timeframe
·  Has natural interest in and knowledge of software applications (Microsoft office, bloomberg and others).
·  Is flexible in working hours
·  Is stress resistant

Your role …
·  Maintain data of new issue information in databases/excel sheets for future use in pricing updates and marketing.
·  Assist syndication (Brussels and London desks) during the execution of new issues
·  Monitor closely the evolution on the primary and secondary markets.
·  Maintain good contacts with back-office, legal and origination in Brussels, Amsterdam and Milan.
·  Effectively run reconciliation of internet based order-books between banks.
·  Help processing new mandates from start to finish: marketing messages, reconciliation, sales support, settlement and fee follow up.
·  General follow-up of bond markets via Bloomberg and Excel spreadsheets.
·  Co-organise roadshows and collection of feedback to advise syndicate members in their discussions with issuers/origination team
·  Create active contacts with syndicate desks in other banks.
·  Become an expert in the internet book-builder used to execute transactions with other banks
·  Responsible of performance reporting towards the ING sales force
You will report directly into the head of high grade syndicate. The learning phase will mainly be a targeted “on the job training”
