ING Belgium is, as the first universal direct bank, a strong player on the Belgian market. The bank provides its customers with a wide range of financial products and services via the distribution channel of their choice (click and face). Customers of ING Belgium are as well retail and private banking clients, as well as small, medium and large enterprises.
As a Data Analyst of the Compliance Risk Management department, you will play a crucial role in the data-driven actions and deliverables of the Compliance risk function. You will be responsible for delivering valuable insights to both your colleagues and Compliance stakeholders. Your day-to-day job will consist of the exploitation / analysis of data, resulting in different types of outputs and aspects.
The Compliance Risk Management Team is located in Brussels in the ING Cours Saint-Michel building.
You will work in and with the Compliance Team and be in contact with the different Compliance Team members but also with 1st line interlocutors in the domain of a.o. KYC.

Your key responsibilities
·  Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex Compliance risk data sets using i.e. SQL, SAS,…
·  Communicate conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders using both analytical and business jargon when appropriate (written and oral)
·  Work with the Compliance team and relevant stakeholders to prioritize risk and information needs, and accordingly translate them into an analytical approach
·  Provide data / analytical support for the stakeholders’ actions

·  Able to analyze a large amount of data / information and to interpret the results from the point of view of their impact on the business Unit / ING Bank / ING Group from a risk perspective
·  With excellent analytical skills and sound judgment and can derive and summarise points of importance from a risk perspective
·  Able to interact with stakeholders from various domains
·  Able to define recommendations and produce written conclusions/reports
·  Comfortable with a changing environment, has a pro-active and can-do attitude (self-steering)
·  Result/deliverables driven by being able to set the right priorities

With…   
·  Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or alike, and/or equivalent experience of 3 years within data analysis, reporting & statistics
·  Experience with and great interest in data analysis related tools and data-warehouse/platforms related concepts
·  Good knowledge of English (verbal and writing), French and Dutch. English is used in presentations and reports
