As a result, new sectors are emerging and business models are being developed that require innovative financial solutions. Companies are looking for banks which will finance their transitions towards sustainability. This provides ING with solid business opportunities which are both profitable as well as contributors to a sustainable global economy.

 

ING recognises the importance of Sustainability and has developed a direction to support its clients' sustainable transitions in its Wholesale Banking business. ING has received high rankings in sustainability indexes and is considered a leader for its integrated approach of sustainable business into the Wholesale Bank.

 

The Sustainable Finance team is growing as a strategic team, and provides sustainable financing solutions to clients through its regional hubs in Amsterdam, Brussels, Singapore, and New York. The Singapore based team leads the sustainable business for existing and potential clients in the Asia Pacific region.

 

We are seeking to recruit a bright, proactive “do-er” at the Analyst level to join a market-leading team in the regional sustainability market. You will work closely with the existing team members, and with other teams within the bank.

 

The start-date will be as early as possible in Q2 2019.

 

Key Responsibilities

· 
Contribute to client pitches and execution, including all Sustainable Finance instruments

· 
Support in sustainable structuring of financial transactions

· 
Undertake sustainability and sustainable finance market research and analysis

· 
To stretch oneself through financing innovations such as in the circular economy, and funding to align the economy to well-below 2 degree scenario

· 
Support other internal and external projects in the region

· 
Support on internal strategic discussions

· 
Help enhance internal and external profiling to put ING's sustainable business initiatives on the map for employees, clients, peers, and other stakeholders

(B) Requirements and preferences

 

· 
Graduate or post-graduate degree holder

· 
Sustainability-related academic background a plus

· 
2-4 years relevant commercial and/or sustainability work experience

· 
Fluent in English and Mandarin

· 
Exposure to Asian markets a plus
