Job description

Job description
This is a 6 months internship opportunity.
The Intelligent Burn In System (IBIS) Autoloader is used to load/unload devices into the Burn In Board sockets for Burn In test at the IBIS Oven. The Autoloader downtime and Burn In Board down sockets affects the efficiency which will in turn affect the oven Burn In output. Currently the i. Autoloader Schedule downtime is ~14% and the target is to reduce to <10%. ii. the Burn-In Boards inventory are manually and physically counted by Technicians and maintained using excel. (need error proof)

We need highly motivated intern/s who specializes in software development / data management to be part of the team to support this project to identify the potential for improvement to the i. Autoloader downtime contributors such as change lot, waiting for setup, etc ii. Automate the BIB/Sockets performance tracking and BIB/Sockets Inventory System

Main tasks will be:

· To monitor the production autoloader loading pattern in order to understand the downtime contributors.
· To do time study to determine the constraints and identify potentials for improvement.
· To work closely with UPS team to analyse the data and improve the schedule downtime contributors.
· To integrate the current BIB/Socket Inventory /Performance tracking and automate into the BIB/Socket Management System Learning outcome:

· To develop project management skills
· To gain knowledge on the IBIS process and test methodology
· Understand the basics of Statistical Process Controls – timeline setting, tracking, engineering design, KPI tracking
· To collect and collate machine performance using various software tools for better data management
· Learn how to communicate with various stakeholders
