We are looking to welcome a new Warehouse Receiving/Replenishment Team Manger - Night Shift to join our IKEA Gateshead Night Shift team.
In IKEA world, we call this job Goods Flow Team Manager.
WHAT WE OFFER
This is a 39 hour full-time, permanent position. Flexibility is required but shift patterns are 2:00am - 10:00 am and 04:00 am -12:30 pm working 5 nights over 7 and alternate weekends. As part of this role you will be working on a rotation plan between the Gateshead site and Washington external warehouse.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You care about making a positive impact in the world. We are looking for proactive and energetic individuals, who are not afraid to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. We are on the lookout for someone who has great communication skills, attention to detail and enables a successful shopping experience for our customers by ensuring that our products are in the right place at the right time.
• You have experience working at a team leader/supervisor level.
• You have a keen interest and experience in retailing and logistics.
• Must have 2+years experience in leading & managing, motivating and developing a team, can set expectations for others.
• You have a basic understanding of the customer fulfilment process and customer journey.
• You are able to set expectations for others and provide clear direction, motivate and develop a team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
We’re the team behind the scenes that make the IKEA products available to the many people. As a diverse mix of co-workers we use our supply process expertise to balance range and space capacity with forecasting and ordering to provide customers with high availability while minimizing costs. • Planning, organising and monitoring the flow of goods within your area of responsibility in the store, i.e. from goods receiving to sales locations for replenishment so that sufficient stock is available to meet the needs of our customers.
• Working actively to improve productivity through efficient resource planning, including managing sickness leave, staff allocation, flexible working and efficient goods flow operations.
• Providing input to your manager on logistics capacity requirements in your area of responsibility and the creation of a business plan and goods flow action plans.
• Empowering your team of co-workers by delegating responsibility to help each person grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience.
