We are looking to welcome a new Warehouse Receiving/Replenishment Team Leader to join our IKEA Gateshead Night Shift team.

In IKEA world, we call this job Goods Flow Team Leader.

WHAT WE OFFER
• 39 hour full-time, permanent position working 5 days over 7 and alternate weekends
Flexibility is required but shift patterns are
02:00am-10:30am and 04:00am-12:30pm working 5 nights over 7 and alternate weekends.
As part of this role you will be working on a rotation plan between the Gateshead site and Washington external warehouse.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You care about making a positive impact in the world. We are looking for proactive and energetic individuals, who are not afraid to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. We are on the lookout for someone who has great communication skills, attention to detail and enables a successful shopping experience for our customers by ensuring that our products are in the right place at the right time.

• You must have 1+ years experience in leading, motivating and developing a team, can set expectations for others.
• You have a keen interest and experience in retailing and logistics.
• You are able to set expectations for others and provide clear direction, motivate and develop a team.
• A key part of this role is to drive fork-lift trucks.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Planning, organising and monitoring the flow of goods within your area of responsibility in the store, i.e. from goods receiving to sales locations for replenishment so that sufficient stock is available to meet the needs of our customers.
• Working actively to improve productivity through efficient resource planning, including managing sickness leave, staff allocation, flexible working and efficient goods flow operations.
• Empowering your team of co-workers by delegating responsibility to help each person grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience.
